We regret to learn that David Cann, son of Mr. Harvey Cann, of Beaver River, was accidentally killed on the 4th ult., by falling from the mast-head of the brig `Joseph Hume', lying at anchor in the harbour of Killelah, Ireland. The deceased was 16 years of age; he was a lad of much promise, and his untimely and melancholy fate will make desolate the home of his bereaved parents, for whom we feel the deepest sympathy. Harvey Cann, jr., a brother of the deceased, was master of the vessel in which the sad casualty occured.
