Tuesday, January 2, 1844
MARRIAGES: On the 21st ult., by the Rev. John Ross, Mr. Harvey Haley, to Miss Mary, daughter of Mr. John Pinkney. On the 26th ult., by the Rev, W. Burton, Mr. Samuel Doty, to Miss Jane, second daughter of Mr. Thomas Purney. On Thursday, Dec. 21, by Rev. C. Churchill, Mr. Eliakim Killam, to Miss Margaret Ann Williams, both of Chegoggin. DEATHS: On Thursday, Dec. 21, at his afther's house, Moses Harris, son of Mr. Richard Harris, of Chegoggin, in the 19th year of his age. For more than three years he had been a steady and consistant member of the Wesleyan Society. He was suddenly removed after only one week's sickness; but he died as he had lived - in the hope of a joyful resurrection unto eternal life. "Blessed is that servant whom his Lord when he cometh shall find so doing."

MARRIAGES: On the 25th ult., by the Rev. Mr. Harding, Mr. Joseph Raymond, of Beaver River, to Miss Mary Chute, of Wilmot. Last evening, by the Rev. R. Avery, Mr. Robert Hunter, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. Richard Smith, Little River. At Boston, on the 7th December, Mr. Edward Harris, of Yarmouth, to Miss Zilpha Ann Mangum, eldest daughter of Mr. John Mangum, of Boston. DEATHS: On the 27th Dec., Mr. Nathaniel Allen, in the 81st year of his age, in the lively faith of the gospel of Christ, which he adorned by a well ordered life and conversation, and was justly esteemed by all that knew him.

MARRIAGES: At the Ragged Islands, 20th ult., by the Rev. T.H. White, Capt. G. Longhurst, to Miss Bethiah Locke. At the same place, on the 31st, by the Rev. Mr. Delong, Mr. James McDonald, to Miss Elizabeth Shaw. DEATHS: On Saturday last, Mr. Joseph Robbins, jr., in the 26th year of his age.

DEATHS: On the 7th inst., George Halstead, son of the late Mr. William N. Halstead, in the 16th year of his age. At Barrington, on the 8th, Elizabeth, daughter of W.B. Sargent, Esq.

On the 5th, by the same, Mr. Joseph Allen, of Argyle, to Miss Keziah, second daughter of Mr. Robert Andrews, of Yarmouth. On the 17th, by the same, Mr. Alfred Morrel, to Miss Mary Ellen, eldest daughter of Mr. David Flint, jr. On the 18th, by the same, Mr. Joseph Sullivan, to Miss Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. William Trefry.

DEATHS: On the 12th inst., on board the Brigt. WANDERER, on the Passage from Nevis to this Port, Mr. Thomas Purney, seaman, of Yarmouth, aged 81 years, leaving a widow and 3 children.
